What’s New 0

  1. Smart Animate

Smart Animate looks for layers with the same name across different Artboards and animates their changes. If you’ve used Magic Move in Keynote, you’ll pick this up fast! You can control movement and timing with easing and duration options — for Smart Animate and all other transitions. There’s also another new transition type — dissolve — which adds a smooth fade between Artboards or Overlays.

  2. Easy Library swaps

You can now easily replace Libraries in your documents, replacing Components with the same names and locations. It makes designing for dark and light modes or adapting a site for different sub-brands faster and easier. You can choose whether replacing a Library will affect all Components, a specific type or just a selection.

  3. Color Variables in gradients

It’s been a long time coming, but you can now use Color Variables in gradients. Now, when you update a Color Variable, it will update any gradients that use it too. There’s not much more to say with this one except that we’re glad it’s here, and we hope you are too!

Di ‘hola’ a diseñar en español

You can now use the Mac app in Spanish and interact with the UI in a more familiar and intuitive way. To use Sketch in Spanish, make sure you’ve set Spanish as your Mac’s primary language — or set a custom language for Sketch in System Settings.

  5. Better PDF exports

You can now choose which Artboards to export and whether you want to display their title or render them as bitmaps. For Workspace documents, you can also export all comments — either as part of the PDF or as a CSV file.

  6. Version 100 is available to download

Version 100 is a milestone release and we want to thank you for helping us get this far. It includes features that many of you have been asking for — along with a few others that make working in Sketch just a little easier.

  7. Scroll areas in prototypes

Make your prototypes scroll in any direction — from a simple row of cards, to a full size map. Set up scroll areas in seconds and adjust them right on the Canvas.

  8. Hover, press and toggle triggers

We’ve added new hover and press interactions, alongside the classic tap/click. Use these to trigger overlays, or even hide or show specific layers (that’s also new with this update). There’s also a new toggle option to show and hide a layer or overlay with each click or tap.

9. New sharing options for prototypes

We’ve made it easier to hide hints and hotspots when sharing prototypes. There’s also a new sharing option that removes toolbars and navigation for a more focused, client-friendly experience.

  11. Minimap

Find your way around fast on an infinite Canvas. The Minimap will appear whenever you have layers outside your view, and show you exactly where you are in the current document. Simply click and drag on it to pan around.

  12. Pin documents and projects

Pin important documents and projects to the top of the sidebar in the web app and Workspace window in the Mac app. Pinned items are personal to you, so you can use them in whatever way suits your workflow best.

  16. Automatic saves for Workspace documents

We automatically and regularly save your Workspace documents as you design — this means you don’t need to manually save at all unless you want to create a version. If you want to mark a specific milestone or moment of progress, you can quickly create a new version — and add a description or a star — by using ^S.
