2.1 Color Variables
Meet Color Variables, a powerful component to create colors that sync up across your document. In this lesson, you’ll learn how to create, edit and manage Color Variables across documents.
Some UI in this video is outdated as of September 2024 — no worries, this doesn’t affect how things work. We’ll share an updated version soon!
Key learnings
Any changes you make to a Color Variable will automatically update across all the layers that use it. The same goes for Color Variables in Libraries.
Use Color Variables and Layer Styles together to keep colors in your styles consistent and make updates to all of them with a single change.
Use numbers in front of Color Variables so they appear in the order that works best for you.
