With [Sketch — View & Mirror](https://apps.apple.com/app/sketch-view-and-mirror/id1609224699), you can use your iPhone or iPad to browse your Workspace, view documents and prototypes, add comments, and mirror designs in real time as you edit them in the Mac app. You can also open documents by scanning a QR code from the Mac app, and access previously downloaded documents when you’re offline.

## What do I need to use the iOS app?

You’ll need an iPhone running iOS 15.0 or later, or an iPad running iPadOS 16.0 or later, plus a Sketch account with access to one or more Workspaces and an internet connection. Because the app relies on Workspaces, Mac-only licenses aren’t supported on iPhone or iPad.

## How mirroring works in the iOS app

All mirroring in the iOS app happens through your Workspace. Save your document to a Workspace, open it in the Mac app, then open the same document on your iPhone or iPad and tap the mirror icon to start previewing it live.

Unlike the legacy Mirror app, your iPhone or iPad doesn’t need to be on the same network as your Mac. You just need to sign in with the same Sketch account on both devices.

## Do I need a subscription to use the iOS app?

Yes. To mirror designs on your iPhone or iPad, you’ll need an active [subscription](/pricing/).

## iPad support

The iOS app works on iPad too, with features like offline viewing, real-time updates, and support for opening local files through AirDrop or file sharing services like Google Drive and Dropbox. On iPad you get a full canvas view, while iPhone focuses on individual frames.
